Following dental school, oral and maxillofacial surgeons complete a minimum of four years in a hospital-based surgical residency program. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. McCormack manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, jaws and facial regions. Dr. McCormack is well trained in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to maxillofacial trauma reconstruction.

Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are unique among non-anesthesiology practitioners in health care.  No other dental or medical specialty requires the level of training they recieve in anesthesia and pain control. Dr. McCormack is board certified by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and has a general anesthesia permit issued by the State of Georgia.  Our staff is trained in assisting with intravenous sedation and outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patient comfort and safety are our number one priority.
